ScanOats has two academic and two industrial partners:

Lund University (LU)

 

Lund University (LU) was founded in 1666 and is ranked among the world’s top 100 universities. LU has 42 000 students and 7 400 staff based in Lund, Helsingborg and Malmö. Lund is the most popular study location in Sweden, with the university offering one of the broadest ranges of programmes and courses in Scandinavia. LU has a distinct international profile, with partner universities in over 70 countries. Ideon Science Park, Medicon Village and Science Village Scandinavia are closely linked to LU, integrating research, innovation and entrepreneurship. Two of the world’s foremost research facilities for materials research and life science are also established in Lund; the synchrotron radiation facility MAX IV and the powerful neutron source European Spallation Source (ESS).

Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU)

Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) is a world-class university in the fields of life and environmental sciences. Education, research and environmental monitoring and assessment are pursued at some thirty locations all over Sweden. The main campuses are Alnarp, Umeå and Uppsala. SLU has over 3 700 students and over 2 700 staff, and is regularly ranked among the top small universities in the world and one of the best within agricultural sciences. SLU was founded in 1977, combining the Agricultural, Forestry and Veterinary University Colleges, the Veterinary School at Skara and the Forestry School at Skinnskatteberg.

Lantmännen

Lantmännen has know-how in the entire oat development process; agriculture, quality and nutrition, and its world class oat breeding program in Svalöv produces varieties for Germany, UK, Baltic States, the Nordic region, Canada etc. New oat varieties, with higher contents of dietary fiber, protein or fat, or increased resistance, are always of interest for the food and feed industries. Many of Lantmännen’s oat products are well known to the demanding B2B market as well as the consumer market, such as oat pasta, granola, instant oats and oat flakes. Lantmännen is owned 100% by Swedish farmers.

Oatly AB

Oatly AB is a private company that develops, manufactures and sells oat based foods in 27 countries, predominately in Europe but also in the US, China and other Asian markets. Oatly is a science-driven enterprise doing research in fields that cover the whole chain from oat agriculture through product development to consumer science. Oatly is expanding its product range by developing natural, sustainable and documented healthy, patented oat foods and beverages such as drinks, ice cream, yoghurt and cooking cream alternatives, smoothies and flavoured drinks. Oatly’s headquarter is in Malmö with production and R&D facilities in Landskrona, Sweden. Oatly AB is owned by Verlinvest, China Resources, Swedish financial institutions and founders.
